Quality Accreditations

SANA Internacional was the first processing plant in Mexico to obtain approval from the United States, Canada and European Union Department of Agriculture for export of processed meat items to such countries.

  • The plant is also approved for export of poultry items to the United States. After our lead role in our lobbying efforts with the Mexican and Foreign Governments in the early 1990’s, other companies have followed.
  • The plant has an on-site Inspector from the Mexican Department of Agriculture to ensure compliance of all of the above accreditations. International Regulations are equivalent to USDA and FDA standards, where we strive to comply and exceed them.
  • Our Microbiology Laboratory is also approved by the corresponding Mexican Government Agencies, making us the first processing plant to have an on-site Federal approved lab. Our HACCP plans as well as all of our Documented Procedures, reflect our high Food Safety and Quality Assurance standards.
  • The plant receives several Official audits per year. In addition, we are also audited by independent audit firms such as Silliker and Cook & Thurber as well as by the Quality Assurance Department of our Major Customers. We have always achieved above than satisfactory results.
